Herewereveal that forshorter rods withmodest values of theaspect n ratior/L(whererandLaretheradiusandlengthoftherod,respectively),thelowestspectralwindowofthe a J scatteringsuppressionrecoverscompletely,sothatevenafinite-sizeresonatormaybecomeinvisible.Wepresent a direct experimental verification of the concept of switchable invisibility at microwaves using a cylindrical 1 finite-sizeresonatorwithhighrefractiveindex. 3 ] s I.
