Est.1931 ARTS HIGH SCHOOL TVMUSICDANCEDRA AVISUALARTS Dear Graduates, On September 6, 2011, we walked into Arts High School starting on a path that would forever change our lives. We walked in these hallways just a little scared and a lot naive to the challenges we would face nor did we have any idea of how brilliant we would all become. In those swift four years, we have become family. We worked hard, we played harder, we fought, we tried and failed and tried again, and we saw unbelievable successes. I urge you to revel in this time for it will never come again. Your time is limited, so don•t waste it living someone else•s life. Don•t let the noise of others• opinions drown out your own inner voice, and most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. You must have some kind of vision for your life, even if you don't know the plan. You have to have a direction in which you choose to go. You want to be in the driver's seat of your own life, because if you're not, life will drive you. Take action. Every story you•ve ever connected with, every leader you•ve ever admired, every little thing that you•ve ever accomplished is the result of taking action. You have a choice. You can either be a passive victim of circumstance or you can be the active hero of your own life. Arts High School has helped to set you on a path for success, and if you carry with you those three little words we spoke about so often, you will do just fine. Dignity, Discipline and Determination- let those words become a part of your make-up- a part of your character- and you will not be stopped. You are special to me, for you are the first class to have that "FAVORITE PRINCIPAL" for all four years! This has been a remarkable journey, and I am incredibly proud of each and every one of you, but more than that, I am forever blessed to have been a part of your growth. Make us proud as you have now joined the ranks of the incredible Arts High School Alumni. #Jaguarsforlife Lynn lrby Jackson 2 It is with great pride that I salute the members of the graduating class of 2015. As the years went marching on, you've demonstrated in so many ways, that you were second to none, not unlike teenagers in any other part of the globe, as you conformed to rules and codes of behavior. Steadfast to the pillar of Discipline, you've matured into responsible, well mannered young men and women eager to take your place in this global community. You've shown firmness of purpose meeting and or exceeding the high standards before you, resolute to continue on your journey to greatness. In so doing you've held steadfast to the pillar of Determination. As you say farewell for now, move forward with that continued sense of pride in yourself, that quality of being worthy of honor and respect. For that you will forever hold steadfast to the pillar of Dignity. Congratulations! Ricardo Pedro Vice Principal 3
