Our hope creating this yearbook was to capture all of the wonderful memories we've gathered from events such as step up day, spirit week, sporting events, and much more. We are so glad we had the opportunity to take part in creating something that you will cherish for years to come. We hope everyone will be able to look back on themselves in the yearbook with a smile and think back to the moment the picture was taken. We want to thank the yearbook staff for the countless hours they put in, the yearbook wouldn't be the same without them! Our best efforts have been put into this book, with the hope of being able to re-live these moments for years to come! Congratulations and good luck, we will truly miss it all! Your Editors, Victoria Breitenfeld and Julia Brooks Having been with you for the past two years now, I feel as though I have gotten to know you as a class pretty well. You are a very spirited bunch, and that has come through loud and clear during spirit weeks, step up days, and pep rallies. Your talents and proclivities are amazing to behold - not only do you continue to shine academically, your prowess in athletics, the arts, and other extracurriculars are models for others. What I will remember most, however, is not these accomplishments but the care and compassion you have shown to this school and school community. You’ve supported and developed a student mentor program for our new students to the high school; you’ve consistently coordinated ways to reinforce our core values, especially kindness; and everything you’ve initiated in this school has been in the service of others. You have a strong heart, 2017. Hang on to that. As Jose Marti wrote, “Talent is a gift that brings with it an obligation to serve the world, and not ourselves.” Continue to share your talents and experiences with the world, Class of 2017, and spread the #pantherpride wherever you go. As I share with every class, please explore the world outside of Marlborough, and come back to continue to enrich us with what you’ve learned. I wish you all the best in your years to come. Principal Caliri To the Class of 2017 I can’t believe how quickly the time has passed! It seems impossible to me that your four years here at MHS are over. I don’t think you know how much I have enjoyed advising your class; the challenges, the victories (some big - some small), watching you all change and, most gratifying, watching you come together to form a diverse - yet somehow - cohesive whole. I congratulate you all as you move forward in your lives. And hope, sincerely, that your memories of MHS and all that you have achieved here help to sustain you through the next challenges you will face. BSG Class of 2017, Congratulations! These past four years have been filled with memories, from our first days as freshmen to our last days as seniors. It has certainly been a wild ride, from which we have learned a lot and had a lot of fun. Despite terrible DJs and nerve-wracking t-shirt orders, we are so grateful to have experienced this journey with all of you. Let us take these lessons, from both the good times and the bad, and continue to use them in the next chapter of our lives. Here’s to us!
