Product Traceability From hatchery to processing, stringent biosecurity standards are adopted to maintain peak quality and ensure excellent traceability. Quick Transfer from Farm to Processing Plant Within an hour, harvested shrimps are transported from our farm to the processing plant and frozen to -20°C. This ensures minimal environmental exposure to the shrimp, hence retaining the highest product freshness possible, even after it is frozen. Which is precisely why Blue Archipelago has implemented a training program to arm workers with vital skills and knowledge in shrimp aquaculture that meets world standards. Upon completion, successful participants of the program will receive a Certificate in Shrimp Aquaculture (CISA). The four-level CISA which is equivalent to a diploma is a carefully designed program in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia. Supported by Malaysian government bodies such as the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority and the Department of Fisheries, it has been recognized by the Malaysian Ministry of Human Resources. In recognition of our efforts to develop our human capital, Blue Archipelago was awarded the “MSC Malaysia HR Achievement Bronze Award 2010”, by the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management.
