Biomedical engineering and medical physics represent challenging and rapidly growing areas. Building on the success of the previous World Congresses, the aim of the World Congress 2018 is to continue in bringing together scientists, researchers, and practitioners from different disciplines, namely from mathematics, computer science, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, medical physics, medicine, biology, and different fields of life sci- ences, so that they can present and discuss their research results. We hope that the World Congress 2018 will serve as a platform for fruitful discussions between all attendees, where participantscanexchangetheirrecentresults,identifyfuturedirectionsandchallenges,initiate possible collaborative research, and develop common languages for solving problems in the realm of biomedical engineering and medical physics.
