You requested, “any open records requests, salary market survey, labor market data from purchased salary surveys as well as custom local area survey results about or done for a Perfusionist or group ofPerfusionists in the past 9 years. by the units at Michigan Medicine where perfusionists are employed.” Due to the amount oftime estimated to search for responsive records and, if responsive records are located, examine, copy, and review them to separate exempt from nonexempt records within the scope ofyour request, production ofresponsive nonexempt records will result in unreasonably high costs for the university, therefore we will need to require a fee deposit as described below. It is estimated that the cost to respond to your request is $387, as detailed in the attached FOIA fee estimate itemization form. Pursuant to Section 4 (8) ofthe Michigan Freedom ofInformation Act, “the public body may require a good-faith deposit from the person requesting information before providing the public records to the requester ifthe entire fee estimate or charge authorized under this section exceeds $50.00, based on a good-faith calculation ofthe total fee...
