Through it all, we realize that high school isconfusing, attimes, and, todealwith that, weshouldtakeonestep at a time. Forthefreshmen, theirendless steps haveonlyjustbegunforthey have three more years of high school left. Though they may not yet realize the importance of their steps, they still proceed slowly and cautiously. For the sophomores, they have put many footprints behind them, only to encounter new ones. At this point, their steps have become a bit bouncierand largeras they begin to understand whatwill occur in two years. Thejuniorsteps areonesofagonyas well asjoy. Thoughtheywill take difficult steps through the SAT's, they will relish gliding through the doors totheirJunior Prom. They nowfully realize the importance oftheir steps and anticipate theirfinal ones, wanting to leap towards them, but being held back by time. For the seniors, we have taken One Step At A Time and have — arrived at our very last step of high school graduation. Now, as the Class of 1997 takes steps in different directions, they will always be able to look back at all the memories formed with each step and rememberjust how special our class is!! Best Wishes and Good Luck Class of 1997! Love, Jenn and Stacy 4 On August 25 the new and improved Seniors all gathered at my houseto make their one in a million tye-dye's. With the smell of grilled hotdogs and hamburgers, we all realized thatthis would be the last B.B.Q. of ourvery short summer. Seeing peoplethatwe haven't seen ) since last June helped us comprehend that, yes, we are going backto school and we are now seniors. With slogens ranging from "One More YearWe're Outta Here" to "We've Seen The Rest We AreThe Best," we were ready to rockthe school on thefirst day, and we did! Melissa Murgo W 7 W m - 1 Kevin Bilodeau seems content with his newwork of art. Tracy and Sara are just happy W being seniors. Jess Halford & Michelle Lambert sit down for a breather. On Aug. 27th the senior class gathered for the annual Sr. Breakfast, that nobody seemed to eat! We arrived at the school together realizing that we now did and would rule the school the entire year. As we walked in yelling WHS '97 and doing the usual rice and glitter throwing, could see our amazing class unity. Later that morning we all attended the exciting First day assembly. When the day ended we couldn't believe that this would be our very last First day ever at WHS. We did what we wanted to do and that was ROCK THE SCHOOL! — Melissa Murgo
