Description:Two Roman plays based on Plutarch’s Parallel Lives and a comedy fill the fourth volume of the historical critical edition of Wieland’s Shakespeare translations. The tragedy Julius Caesar opens the volume, followed by the long, complex love story of Antony and Cleopatra. The volume ends with Shakespeare’s shortest comedy, to which Wieland gave the title Die Irrungen, oder die doppelten Zwillinge (Errors, or the Twofold Twins).
