If the rider does not declare a point horse then whichever horse goes first in the order will automatically become their point horse for that competition. Points given to riders for each of the twenty one competitions will be awarded in a two-part formula based on the number of riders in each competition as follows: Part 1: The winning rider will earn two more points than the second placed rider, the second placed rider will earn one more point than the third and so on. (i.e. 30 rider enter the class, the winner will receive 32 points, second place will receive 30 points, third place 29 points, etc). A rider failing to complete a course on their declared horse will receive 0 points for that competition. Part 2: Based on the prize money offered for each competition the number of points earned by a rider in Part 1 will be multiplied by an incremental coefficient of 1 for every $25,000 in prize money offered. (i.e. $25,000 - $49,999 x coefficient of 1; $50,000 - $74,9999 x coefficient of 2; $75,000 - $99,999 x coefficient of 3; $100,000 - $124,999 x coefficient of 4; $125,000 - $149,999 x coefficient of 5; $150,000 - $174,999 x coefficient of 6; $175,000 - $199,999 x a coefficient of 7, etc.) If at the end of the twenty first competition there is a tie in the standings for first place only, the tie will be broken by the rider who won the most competitions. The FTI Rider Challenge awards will be presented upon the conclusion of the $400,000 FTI Grand Prix on Saturday March 21st at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, International Arena. 1st Place $100,000 2nd Place $50,000 3rd Place $30,000 4th Place $20,000 Braman Motorcars WEF CHALLENGE LEADING HORSE/RIDER COMBINATION AWARD A two year lease on a BMW 323i Convertible presented by Braman Motorcars will be awarded to the Horse/Rider combination who gains the most points from the WEF Challenge Rounds I-XI according to following points system. The top 25 Horse/Rider combinations of each Braman Motorcars WEF Challenge will get points based on the number of riders in the competition plus 1 i.e. if there are 50 in the class then the winner will get 51 the second 49 the third 48 etc down to 25th place. In the event of a tie on points the winner of the most WEF Challenge competitions will get the car, if there is still a tie then the rider who has won the most money from the WEF Challenge competitions will be the winner.
