A centre was established at Zelia and its twin town Mehlis. ln 1886, three centuries later, Carl Walther at the age of 26 came to Zelia to open a gunshop. From this gunshop came the Walther Company, world famous for its precise workmanship and fine craftsmanship and especially renowned for its pistols.
