For Mircea and Christinel Eliade Page iv As so often happens, scientists understand better than many "humanists" the meaning and function of artistic creativity. But we know now that artistic imagination has a mythological, i.e. religious, source. Consequently, a holistic system of knowledgeintegrating the scientific, philosophic, religious, and artistic approaches and creationsmight become again possible in the near future.
