Wheat: Net sales of 728,900 metric tons (MT) were 86 percent higher than the previous week and 96 percent greater than the 4-week average. Major increases were reported for Pakistan (250,000 MT), Egypt (93,400 MT), Taiwan (88,600 MT), Lebanon (41,300 MT), China (39,600 MT), and Tunisia (37,900 MT). Decreases were reported for unknown destinations (82,800 MT). Exports of 488,900 MT were 9 percent below the week earlier, but 12 percent more than the 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (109,000 MT), Iraq (67,800 MT), Georgia (54,000 MT), South Korea (41,100 MT), and Tunisia (37,900 MT). Corn: Net sales of 415,000 MT--the lowest of the marketing year-were 65 percent below the previous week and 51 percent under the 4- week average. Major increases reported for Japan (140,100 MT), Taiwan (126,000 MT), Egypt (64,200 MT), and Saudi Arabia (60,900 MT) were partially offset by decreases for unknown destinations (116,700 MT). Exports of 552,400 MT were off 44 percent from the previous week and 18 percent from the 4-week average. The principal destinations were Japan (136,600 MT), Taiwan (115,500 MT), Saudi Arabia (110,900 MT), and Egypt (34,000 MT). Barley: Net reductions of 54,200 MT resulted as increases for Jordan (52,500 MT) were more than offset by decreases for unknown destinations (95,000 MT) and Saudi Arabia (11,700 MT). Exports of 132,900 MT were two and nine-tenths times the 4-week average. The destinations were Saudi Arabia (79,800 MT), Jordan (52,500 MT), and Mexico (600 MT). Sorghum: Net sales of 334,800 MT--a marketing-year high-were nearly three times the 4-week average. The major buyer was Mexico (313,600 MT). Exports of 70,700 MT were 40 percent below the previous week and 11 percent under the 4-week average. Mexico (45,000 MT), Japan (18,900 MT), and Israel (6,800 MT) were the destinations. Rice: Net sales of 37,800 MT were up 2 percent from the week earlier, but down 56 percent from the 4-week average. Major increases were posted for the Dominican Republic (10,000 MT), Mexico (6,100 MT, of which 5,200 MT was rough), Germany (4,200 MT), unknown destinations (3,400 MT), Haiti (3,100 MT), Nicaragua (3,000 MT--all rough), and El Salvador (3,000 MT--all rough). Exports of 34,900 MT were down 44 percent from the prior week and the 4-week average. The primary destinations were Japan (14,200 MT), Mexico (5,800 MT), the United Kingdom (5,200 MT), and Germany (3,300 MT). Soybeans: Net sales of 705,700 MT were one-quarter above the prior week and 35 percent above the 4-week average. Major increases for Mexico (199,700 MT), the Netherlands (182,500 MT), China (174,000 MT), Spain (141,400 MT), Japan (139,300 MT), and Argentina (129,800 MT) were partially offset by reductions for unknown destinations (420,200 MT). Shipments of 1,172,800 MT were up 47 percent from the previous week, but 4 percent under the 4-week average. The major destinations were China (303,300 MT), Mexico (105,700 MT), Argentina (99,800 MT), Indonesia (97,200 MT), the Netherlands (87,800 MT), and Spain (86,400 MT). Soybean Cake and Meal: Net sales of 225,600 MT were slightly more than three times the prior week's marketing-year low and two- thirds above the 4-week average. Major increases for Thailand (88,000 MT), the Netherlands (53,000 MT), Ireland (48,400 MT), Italy (24,900 MT), and Hungary (21,000 MT) were partially offset by reductions of 91,100 MT for unknown destinations. Exports of 315,100 MT-a marketing-year high-were two and two-fifths times the previous week and two and two-thirds times the 4-week average. The primary destinations were Thailand (55,000 MT), the Netherlands (33,500 MT), France (29,700 MT), Spain (29,300 MT), and Ireland (24,400 MT). Soybean Oil: Net sales of 14,200 MT were the result of increases for China (10,000 MT), Mexico (8,100 MT), and Ecuador (1,500 MT) being partly offset by reductions of 5,500 MT for unknown destinations. Shipments of 25,600 MT were down two-fifths from the previous week and 27 percent from the 4-week average. Mexico (11,000 MT), Hong Kong (6,500 MT), Singapore (6,000 MT), and China (2,000 MT) were the destinations. Cotton: Net Upland sales of 112,000 running bales (RB) were off 56 percent from the prior week and 43 percent from the 4-week average. The primary buyers were Mexico (24,900 RB), Turkey (15,500 RB), Indonesia (15,200 RB), China (9,600 RB), and Hong Kong (7,700 RB). Exports of 140,300 RB-a marketing-year high-were one-quarter above the prior week and one-third above the 4-week average. Asian destinations accounted for 52 percent of the week’s shipments; Western Hemisphere, 40 percent; and West European, 8 percent. The major recipients were Mexico (28,200 RB), China (18,800 RB), Japan (17,600 RB), Colombia (15,800 RB), and South Korea (12,400 RB). Hides and Skins: Sales of 303,500 pieces were 5 percent over the previous week, but 18 percent below the 4-week average. Whole cattle hide sales of 264,000 pieces were primarily for South Korea (92,000 pieces), Mexico (56,300 pieces), and Taiwan (49,200 pieces). Exports of 380,000 pieces equaled the prior week, but were 14 percent less than the 4-week average. Whole cattle hide exports of 357,900 pieces were destined mainly for South Korea (197,100 pieces), Taiwan (35,200 pieces), and Mexico (34,500 pieces). Sales of 40,700 wet blue hides were up 48 percent from the week earlier, but down one-third from the 4-week average. The primary buyers were Japan (5,800 grain split and 5,000 unsplit), Italy (8,200 unsplit and 2,200 grain split), and Hong Kong (5,000 grain split). Exports of 101,700 hides were three-quarters above the week earlier and 22 percent above the 4-week average. The primary destinations were Taiwan (14,200 unsplit and 9,800 grain split), Indonesia (21,600 unsplit), and South Korea (17,900 unsplit and 2,000 grain split). Net sales of splits totaling 2,970,400 pounds were 9 percent below the previous week, but three and one-fifth times the 4- week average. Hong Kong (1,790,000 pounds) and Italy (775,000 pounds) were the dominant buyers. Exports of 1,233,900 pounds were down two-fifths from the week earlier and 23 percent below the 4-week average. Hong Kong (738,500 pounds) and Italy (264,000 pounds) were the primary destinations.
