Over the decades, the University has manifested much progress in pursuit of excellence in teaching and research. The year in retrospect has been satisfying and eventful. I wish to bring to the notice of the stakeholders that the University continues to offer enhanced access to higher education in this state. Many teachers were granted major research projects by prestigious funding agencies while Research Scholars have distinguished themselves by securing Post Doctoral Fellowships and also Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowships. The students have successfully completed their courses as per the prescribed Academic calendar and, I am sure, are in pursuit of their chosen vocations and professions. The contents of the Annual Report reveal the vision, mission and objectives of the university. It also reflects the administrative and academic initiatives taken up by the university in the past years. I congratulate the team involved in bringing out this comprehensive annual report. I am sure that the report will stand testimony to the contribution of Acharya Nagarjuna University to the cause of higher education. (Prof. A.
