NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 12th January, 2018
S.O. 259(E).—Whereas, by the Notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways S.O. 3417(E), dated 17.10.2017 published in Gazette of India, No.2092 Extraordinary, Part-II, Section3, sub-
section (ii) and issued under sub-section (1) of section 3A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956) (hereinafter
referred to as the said Act), the Central Government declared its intention to acquire the lands specified in the Schedule
annexure to the said Notification for the stretch of land from Km 18.400 to Km 56.000 of the National Highway No. 18
for building (widening/Two lane with Paved shoulders etc.) maintenance, management and operation in the district of
Chittoor in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
And whereas, the substance of the said notification has been published in “Hindu” dated: 01.11.2017, “Sakshi”
dated: 01.11.2017, in English and Telugu as per section 3A (3) of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956).
And whereas one objection has been received and the same was disallowed by the Competent Authority.
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by Sub-Section (1) of section 3D of the said act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;

And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby
declares that on publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette, the lands specified in the said Schedule, shall vest
absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.

And whereas one objection has been received and the same was disallowed by the Competent Authority.
Now, therefore, upon receipt of the said report of the Competent Authority, and in exercise of the powers
conferred by Sub-Section (1) of section 3D of the said act, the Central Government hereby declares that the lands
specified in the said Schedule should be acquired for the aforesaid purpose;
And further, in pursuance of sub-section (2) of section 3D of the said Act, the Central Government hereby declares
that on publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette, the lands specified in the said Schedule, shall vest
absolutely in the Central Government, free from all encumbrances.
SCHEDULE
Acquisition of land in respect of for the stretch of land from Km 18.400 to Km 56.000 of the National Highway No.
18 for building (widening/Two lane with Paved shoulders etc.) maintenance, management and operation in the
district of Chittoor in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
