िविनमय बोड (cid:6981)अिधिनयम, 1992 (1992 का 15) क(cid:7409) धारा 30 के अधीन (cid:7079)द(cid:7275) शि(cid:7334)य(cid:7298) का (cid:7079)योग करते (cid:7263)ए एत(cid:7375)ारा, भारतीय (cid:7079)ितभूित
और िविनमय बोड(cid:6981) [िवदेशी पोटफ(cid:6981) ोिलयो िविनधानकता(cid:6981) (िनवेशक)] िविनयम, 2014 का और संशोधन करने के िलए िन(cid:7388)िलिखत िविनयम
बनाता ह,ै अथा(cid:6981)त्, -
1. इन िविनयम(cid:7298) को भारतीय (cid:7079)ितभूित और िविनमय बोड(cid:6981) [िवदेशी पोटफ(cid:6981) ोिलयो िविनधानकता(cid:6981) (िनवेशक)] (संशोधन) िविनयम,
2017 कहा जा सकेगा ।
2. वे राजप(cid:7074) म(cid:7286) उनके (cid:7079)काशन क(cid:7409) तारीख को (cid:7079)वृ(cid:7275) ह(cid:7298)गे ।
3. भारतीय (cid:7079)ितभूित और िविनमय बोड(cid:6981) [िवदेशी पोटफ(cid:6981) ोिलयो िविनधानकता(cid:6981) (िनवेशक)] िविनयम, 2014 म(cid:7286), -
(1) िविनयम 21 म(cid:7286), -
i. उप-िविनयम (1) म(cid:7286), खंड (क) िन(cid:7388)िलिखत से (cid:7079)ित(cid:7021)थािपत हो जाएगा, अथा(cid:6981)त्, -
"(क) भारत म(cid:7286) मा(cid:7008)यता(cid:7079)ा(cid:7385) (cid:7021)टॉक ए(cid:6989)सच(cid:7286)ज म(cid:7286) सूचीब(cid:7373) (िलि(cid:7021)टड) या सूचीब(cid:7373) क(cid:7409) जाने वाली कंपिनय(cid:7298) के
शेयर, िडब(cid:7286)चर और वारंट [(cid:7079)ाथिमक ((cid:7079)ाइमरी) और ि(cid:7367)तीयक (सेकंडरी) बाजार(cid:7298) के मा(cid:7007)यम से];"
ii. उप-िविनयम (4) म(cid:7286), खंड (ङ) म(cid:7286), -
(1) श(cid:7011)द एवं िच(cid:7022)न "इस िविनयम के खंड (घ) म(cid:7286)", श(cid:7011)द(cid:7298) एवं िच(cid:7022)न(cid:7298) "इस उप-िविनयम के खंड (घ) म(cid:7286)" से
(cid:7079)ित(cid:7021)थािपत हो जाएँगे;

िविनयम, 2016, सं. सेबी/एल.ए.डी.-एन.आर.ओ./जी.एन./2016-17/009, (cid:7367)ारा संशोिधत (cid:7263)ए थे ।

SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE BOARD OF INDIA (FOREIGN PORTFOLIO INVESTORS)
(AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 2017
SEBI/LAD-NRO/GN/2016-17/018 .─ In exercise of the powers conferred under section 30 of the Securities
and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), the Securities and Exchange Board of India hereby, makes the
following regulations to further amend the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Portfolio Investors)
Regulations, 2014, namely,—
1. These regulations may be called the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Portfolio Investors)
(Amendment) Regulations, 2017.
2. They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
3. In the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Foreign Portfolio Investors) Regulations, 2014,–
(1) In regulation 21,-
i. in sub-regulation (1), in clause (a),–
(1) for the words “Securities in the primary and secondary markets including shares”, the word
“Shares” shall be substituted;
(2) after the word “India”, the words and symbol “, through primary and secondary markets”, shall be
inserted;

ii. in sub-regulation (4), in clause (e),–
(1) after sub-clause (vii) the following sub-clauses shall be inserted, namely,-
“(viii) transactions by Category I and II foreign portfolio investors, in corporate bonds, as may
be specified by the Board;
(ix) transactions on the electronic book provider platform of recognized stock exchanges;”
(2) existing sub-clause (viii) shall be re-numbered as sub-clause (x);
