Gazette Notification No. 2014/E(GR)I/18/1, Part-I, Section-1, dated 22.03.2014 published by the
Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), notifying the Rules of Engineering Services Examination, 2013.
F. No. 2014/E(GR)I/18/1.—In the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) Notification No.
2014/E(GR)I/18/1, Part-I, Section-1, dated 22.03.2014 published by the Ministry of Railways (Railway
Board), notifying the Rules of Engineering Services Examination, 2014, the following corrigendum is
hereby made:—
(1) Survey of India Group ‘A’ Service – Medical standards in Appendix II—
(a) A. Technical at page No. 87 in the standards for distance and near vision with or without
glasses at item No. 2 of the table Survey of India Group ‘A’ Service is inserted after Indian
Ordnance Factories Service Group.
(b) At page No. 88 in the Technical Services or Posts requiring higher grade colour Perception
after (vi) BRES Group ‘A’ in Border Roads Organisation Survey of India Group ‘A’ Service is
inserted at (vii).

(2) Geological Survey of India Group ‘A’ Service – Medical standards in Appendix II—
(a) B. Non-Technical at page No. 88 in the standards for distance and near vision with or without

Indian Supply Service Group ‘A’.
(b) At page No. 89 in the Technical Services or Posts requiring lower grade colour Perception after
(vii) Indian Radio Regulatory Service, Geological Survey of India Group ‘A’ Service is
inserted at (viii).
(3) Para: 18 at page 76 reading as
“The candidates should note that they will receive separate intimation regarding medical examination
from the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board). If no communication is received within 15 days of
the declaration of the final result, please contact Ministry of Railways (Railway Board)”.
is deleted and substituted with—
“Any candidate called for the Personality Test by the Commission may be required to undergo
medical examination.”
Besides the above, rest of Notification issued by the Government dated 22.03.2014, will remain unchanged.
