5.0, 2F}-—Whereas the Contral Government, in oxercise of the powers conferred.
‘under su-section (J) of section 30 of tho National: Council for ‘Teacher Lducation Act ,
1993 (3 of 1993) superseded the National Couneil for Teachet Education (ucreinafter _
refered to as the Couuéil), for a period of six mans vide the notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry 61 Uuman Resourox Development number 8.0.1 S48
4B), dated the 7 July, 2011, with effect frum the date of the said notification:

And whereas the said potiod of sapersession ol the Counell is expising om the 6
Jauary, 2012;

And whereas the Central Government, alles considering the fnetions porformed
‘by porsons authorized under elause (h) of subsection (2) of seetion 30 of zhe National
‘Council ior ‘Teacher Education Act, 1997 and the initalives undertaken to reform the
seqnlatory and related functions of the Councit, considers i expedient ta extend the
petiod ofthe supersession of the Council by a period of snather six months,

Now therefore, in exereise of powers conferred by sub-seation (1) ria with sub—
scction (3) of reition 30 of the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993, the
Cental Governmeot hereby extends the period of supersession of the Council for a
period of six mouths with effter from the 7" January, 2012 and for that purpose rakes
the following amendment wn the notification of the Goverment of India in tbe Ministry
of Human Resource Development number'S.0.1548 (E}, dated the 7 jy, 2011,
vonmely.-

1n (he said notification, in paragraph 7, for the words “Hor a petiod of six
months,” the words and figures “for a period upo the 6 day ef July, 2012" shall be
substiruted,
