REGD NO D L -33004/99 The Gazette of India EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (I) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 38] NEW DELHI, MONDAY, JANUARY 29,2001/MAGHA 9, 1922 266 GI/2001 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] 3 4 T HE G A Z E T TE OF I N D IA • E X T R A O R D I N A RY [PART I I —S E C. 3(i)1 5 6 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] 8 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)1 9 MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE (Department of Health) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 29th January, 2001 G.S.R. 41 (E).— The following draft of certain rules further to amend the Drugs nnti Cosmetics Rules, 1945, which the Central Government proposes to make aftei consultation with the Drugs Technical Advisory Board, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 12 and 33 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), is hereby published as required by the said sections for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby, and notice is hereby given that the said draft rules will he taken into consideration after the expiry of forty-five days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette in which this notification is published are made available to the public, Objections or suggestions may be addressed to the Secretary, Ministry of I lenllh and Family Welfare, Government of India, Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi-110011 Any objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to the said rules before the expiry period specified above shall be taken into consideration by the Central Government DRAFT RULES 1 (i) These rules may be called the Diugs and Cosmetics ( - Amendment) Rule: 200J (u) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette %£&l(r\\ha>\ - 5. !!!_____ THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY ' [PART II—SEC 3(I)] 2 In the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules\ 1945 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 59,- (i) in sub-rule (2), for the portion beginning with the words "shall bo made" and ending with the words " rupees forty", the following words, figures and letters shall be substituted, namely - "shall be made in Form 19 accompanied by a fee of rupees two thousand and five hundred and an inspection fee of rupees five hundred or in Form 19-A accompanied by a fee of rupees one thousand and an inspection fee of rupees two hundred and fifty, as the case may be, or in the case of drugs included in Schedule X shall be made In Form 19-C accompanied by a fee of rupees five hundred, to the licensing authority " (ii) in sub-rule (3), for the words "rupees six", the words "rupees two hundred and fifty" shall be substituted , (hi) in sub-rule (4), for the portion beginning with the words "shall be accompanied by " and ending with the words "rupees thirty per month or part thereof:" the following woids, figures and letters shall be substituted, namely:- "shall be accompanied by a fee of rupees two thousand and five hundred, an inspection fee of rupees five hundred plus an additional fee at the rate of rupees five hundred per month or part thereof with Form 19, rupees one thousand, an inspection fee of rupees two hundred and fifty plus an additional fee at the rate of rupees two hundred fifty per month or part thereof with Form 19-A and rupees five hundred plus an additional fee at the rate of rupees two hundred and fifty per month or part thereof with Form 19-C " 3. In rule 62-C of the said mles,_ (i) in sub-rule (1),- (a) for the words "a fee of rupees twenty", the words "a licence fee of rupees one thousand and an inspection fee of rupees two hundred and fifty" shall be substituted,
