L. 33004/99 The Gazette of India EXTRAORDINARY PART I—Section 1 PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 15] NEW DELHI, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10, 2001/PAUSA 20,1922 MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS • (Railway Board) ADDENDUM New Delhi, the 10th January, 2001 RULES No. 99/E(GR)I/18/3,—In the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) notification dated 29th January, 2000 published in the Gazette of India, notifying the rules for the Engineering Services Examination, 2000, the follow- ing provision shall be incorporated as new Rule 14 of the Rules and (he existing Rule 14 onwards shall be renum- bered:— "14. The prescribed qualifying standards will be relaxable at the discretion of the Commission at all the stages of examination in favour of physically handicapped candidates in order to fill up the vacancies reserved for them. in case, however, the physically handicapped can- didates get selected on their own merit in the requisite number at the qualifying standards fixed by the Commis- sion for General. SC, ST and OBC category candidates. extra physically handicapped candidates i.e. more than the number of vacancies reserved for them (PH) will not be rec- ommended by the Commission on the relaxed standards.''
