O : OSR & IR: A/12/9/2902.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19 read with sub-section (2) of section 12 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970 (5 of 1970) the Board of Directors of Bank of Baroda in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India and with the previous sanction of the Central Government hereby makes the following Regulations, namely : 1. Short title and commencement : (1) These Regulations may be called Bank of Baroda (Officers') Service (Amendment) Regulations, 1998. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Bank of Baroda (Officers') Service Regulations, 1979 for regulation 38, the following regulation shall be substituted, namely :— ''38 Save as provided below, all leave to the credit of an officer shall lapse on resignation, retirement, death, discharge, dismissal or termination; Provided that where an officer retires from the bank's service, he shall be eligible to be paid a sum equivalent to the emoluments of any period, not exceeding 240 days of privilege leave that he had accumulated; Provided further that where an officer dies while in service, there shall be payable to his legal representatives, a sum equivalent to the emoluments for the period, not exceeding 240 days of privilege leave to his credit as on the date of his death."
