MINISTRY OF LAW, JUSTICE AND COMPANY AFFAIRS (Legislative Department) New Delhi, the 2nd January, 1999/Pausa 12, 1920 (Saka) The following Act of Parliament received the assent of the President on the 2nd January, 1999, and is hereby published for general information:— THE EXPORT-IMPORT BANK OF INDIA (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1998 (No. 1 OF 1999) [2nd January, 1999.] An Act further to amend the Export-Import Bank of India Act, 1981. BE it enacted by Parliament in the Forty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows".— 1. (1) This Act may be called the Export-Import Bank of India (Amendment) Act, Short title and 1998. commencement (2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC 1] Amendment of 2. In section 4 of the Export-Import Bank of India Act, 1981, for sub-section (1), the section 4 of Act following sub-section shall be substituted, namely:-— 28 of 1981. "(1) The authorised Capital of the Exim Bank shall be one thousand crores of rupees : Provided that the Central Government may, by notification, increase the said capital up to two thousand crores of rupees."
