O. 59(E).—Whereas the Government of India in the Ministry of Labour in their notification no. S.O. 841(E) dated 17-10-95 appointed Hon'ble Justice S.K. Mookerji, 1, Grand Trunk Road, Lukerganj, Allahabad-1 (Uttar Pradesh), formerly Judge of the Patna High Court to hold a Formal inquiry into the causes and circumstances of the accidents that occurred in the collieries of Bharat Coking Coal Limited, more particularly in Gaslitand, Bora, Katras, Choitudih and South Gobindpur, in District Dhanbad of Bihar State, on 26th and 27th September, 1995, causing loss of lives and present a report within a period of three months. And whereas the duration of the Court of Inquiry was thrice extended for a further period of six months each vide notification nos. S.O. 57(E) dated 19-1-96, S.O. 508(E) dated 17-7-96, S.O. 37(E) dated 17-1-97 and twice for a period of three months each vide notification nos. S.O. 504 (E) dated 17-7-97 and S.O. 731(E) dated 17-10-97 respectively; And whereas it has become necessary to further extend the period of the Court of Inquiry within which the Inquiry is to be conducted and report presented to the Government; Now, therefore, the Central Government do hereby extend this duration for a further period of three months with effect from 17-1-98 to 16-4-98.
