NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 19th January, 1996
S.O. 57(E).—Whereas the Government of India in the Ministry,, pi
Labour in their notification no. S.O. 841(E) dated 17-10-95 appoint'ed
Hon'ble Justice S. K. Mukherjee, 1, Grand Trunk Road, Lukecgunj,
Allahabad-1 (U.P.) formerly Judge of the Patna High Court to hold a
formal inquiry into the causes and circumstances attending the
accidents that occurred in the collieries of Bharat Coking Coal Limited
more particularly in Gaslitand, Bera, Katras, Choitudih, and South
Gobindpur, in District Dhanbad of Bihar State, on 26th and 27th
September, 1995, causing loss of lives and present a report within a
period of three months.
And whereas it has become necessary to extend the period within
which the inquiry is to be conducted and report presented;
Now, therefore, the Central Government do hereby extend this
duration for a further period of six months from the date of issue of
this notification; and, accordingly the period of appointment of
Hon'ble Justice S. K. Mukherjee, to conduct the inquiry and present the
report and the period of appointment of Prof. B. K. Mozumdar, Prof, of
Mining, Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-820004 (Bihar) and of Shri
Rajendra Prasad Singh, General Secretary, Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor
Sangh, Dhori Area, 5, Chajju Bagh, Patna-800001, as assessors is also
extended for a further period of six months from the date of issue of
this notification.
