Starting Up
1. With the power set to OFF, insert the game cartridge
into the appropriate slot on your SNES® compatible
console.
2. Be sure the cartridge is slotted all the way in.
3. Turn the power ON. If nothing appears on the
screen, check the cartridge and attempt again.
4. Undercover Cops is a one-player game. Use a
controller plugged into controller port 1 and press
start to begin the game.
5. Refer to the instruction manual of your console if
necessary to further troubleshoot.

Difficulty Choose from Easy, Normal, or Hard
Player Choose from 1-5 lives
Credit Choose from 1-5 continues
Extra Joy 1 Special moves can be used with Button A
Extra Joy 2 Dash can be performed with Button L
Sound Mode Choose from mono or stereo sound
Juke Box Listen to music from the game
Wow Box Listen to sound effects from the game
Exit Return to the title screen

1. Health Bar - Remaining health
2. Cash Score - Earned throughout the game
3. Lives - Remaining lives
4. Timer - Remaining time to complete the stage
5. Assessment Score - Stage grading score
6. Continue Prompt - Press Start to continue
7. Boss Health Bar - Remaining boss health
8. Credit Counter - Remaining continues
When all lives have been used, a timer will start on the
top left of the screen if you have Credits available. You
are able to change your City Sweeper upon continuing.
Once all Credits and Lives have been expended, the
game ends.

The Lawless City
It is the year 2043 and cities all over the world are still
recovering from a massive war. New York City, the once
“City of the World”, has been left as a lawless town
with ruined areas. Any indication of local order is now
replaced by a special military government that was
formed to take back the city from the crime syndicates
that now control it.
The city council - under orders from the military-
appointed mayor - has created the City Sweeper
program that utilizes “Undercover Cops” to handle
most of the dangerous crime. These former cops and
vigilantes who aren’t afraid to take on these gangs
head-on. No need to sneak around anymore - the only
language these criminals will understand is PAIN!
