High-frequency ultrasound of 1e3 MHz allows harvesting of microalgae,liquidproductseparationandin-situprocessmonitoringofbiomassreactions,whilehigh- intensityultrasoundat20e50kHzactivatesheterogeneousandenzymaticcatalysisofthebiomassre- actions.Theuseofultrasoundinconversionofbiomasstobiofuelsprovidesapositiveprocessbenefit.
