UIUC AFRO-AMERICAN DIRECTORY 1983-1984 COMPILED BY Ellistine Anita Booze and Doland Hubbard (Members of BGSA) The Graduate College University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign 107 Coble Hall 801 South Wright Street Champaign, Illinois 61820 BGSA Black Graduate Student Association P.O. Box 2189, Station A Champaign, Illinois 61820 -FOREWARD The UIUC Afro-American Directory was compiled in the spirit that it will become an invaluable resource. While the size and diversity of the University of Illinois are positive characteristics, frequently we find that the ability to interact with other Black students, faculty and staff is inhibited. This directory will enable Black students, faculty and staff to share information with those who have similiar personal and professional interests. New comers will have readily available information to aid them in their transition to the University community. The UIUC Afro-American Directory includes graduate and profes sional students, faculty, administrators and staff and other resources frequently used by Afro-Americans, including churches. We appreciate your assistance with this effort. Your suggestions and comments are welcomed. We are particularly interested in knowing if the Directory is useful and how future editions might be improved. Elaine J.
