University of Alaska UA Engineering Plan 2010 APPENDICES March 2011 March 21, 2011 Ms. Kit Duke Chief Facilities Officer University of Alaska Statewide 1815 Bragaw Street, Suite 207 Anchorage, Alaska 99508-3438 RE: University of Alaska, Engineering Plan 2010, Appendices Dear Kit: Enclosed is a supplement to the Engineering Plan 2010 Final Report. This is a book of detailed data appendices from which the summary information in the Engineering Plan was derived. For purposes of consistency, this appendix carries the date of March 2011. As you will note, these appendices provide detailed background information on the topical areas covered in the main report. We found using this detailed data very helpful during the report preparation and thought that perhaps others who are closely associated with this study would find the detailed data useful as well. The bridge is located for display in the main UAA School of Engineering Building. The bridge was constructed in the Engineering Design Studio Building and moved to the main UAA Engineering Building following the competition. The competition provides an opportunity for engineering students nationwide to use their skills to design a bridge, build it, and then test its structural integrity.
