Nospeciesallied tothisnewtenebrionidhashithertobeen known, in viewof itsremarkablecolorationandpeculiarshapeoftheheadandelytra.Judging fromgeneralappearance,e.g., thesubpara11e1-sidedbodyandthemoderately convex eyes,thisnewspeciesseemstobelongtothegenusnetragonomenes. Italsoresembles somespeciesof the genus Malayaplamlus in having themodified head and the stronglyconvexposteriorpartsoftheelytra.Itmay,therefore,beanannectentofthe abovetwogenera.Morethan80speciesofthegenusTettragonomenesaredistributed overEastAsiaandthenorthernpartofAustralia.Whenadetailedstudyismadeinthe future,thisgenuswouldpossiblybedividedintoseveralsubgeneraorgenera,because thegenusinthecurrentsenseisobviouslyheterogeneous.
