If it hadn’t been for their love, support, and cheerleading, I would have never found my way spiritually or become interested in spiritual conversations and ministry. Kay O’Malley, my maternal grandma, is one of those praying saints — and while I am tempted to say “old praying saints,” she would be on the phone to remind me that old is always a rela- tive term, even at eighty-nine years of age. The slow drip of her prayers to God for her grandson is a treasure whose worth only eternity will calculate.
