India participated in the initial outpouring of the modern Pentecostal movement at the turn of the twentieth century. From its origin the Assembly of God had workers involved in ministry to India. To capture the essence of a century of growth and development of the Assemblies of God in India is a monumental challenge.
Dr. A. C. George, equipped with gifts of scholarship and spiritual insight, accepted this challenge. Research involving both primary and secondary sources has enabled him to reconstruct the path of commitment and passion of the .trailblazers. of this significant Pentecostal movement. He himself is one of those trailblazers whose life and ministry adds to the value of this work.
