Town Belmont of New Hampshire m 1992 Annual Report Town of Belmont New Hampshire 1992 Annual Report DEDICATION This townReport isdedicatedto HELENMAXCYHILL Mrs. Hill was born in Portland, Maine, and received her education at Wellesley College and Wheelock College. She moved to this area and taught school for 37 years in Laconia. She was married to Arthur W. Hill, former selectman ofBelmont, and lived several years on the original James House on JamestownRoad. Mrs. Hill was elected a Trustee ofthe Belmont Public Library, a position she has held since 1972, being chairman oftheTrustees mostofthose years. She was also named President ofthe Belmont Historical Society the second year ofits forming here in Belmont. Mrs. Hill also worked on the checklistonvotingdayformanyyears andhasbeeninchargeofdisplayingold picturesandartifactsonOldHomeDayinBelmont. Mrs. Hill is always interested in town history and with the late Lou Wuelper did research and documented all 29 cemeteries in Belmont. She also researched and wrote a history on all ofthe original houses on Jamestown Road. Mrs. Hill is an ideal citizen to have in an area, always considering whatisbestforBelmont,interestedinwhatisgoingonandiscommittedtothe PublicLibrary. Shall werescindthe provisionsofRSA72:62forapropertytax exemption onreal propertyequippedwitha solarenergyheatingorcoolingsystem which exemptionshallbeinanamountequaltothetotalcostofthesystem? YES NO 3. Are you in favor ofthe adoption ofAmendment #1 as proposed by the PlanningBoardfortheZoningOrdinance: To allow the Planning Board the Option to delegate its existing responsibility to issue certificates ofcompliance to one Member ofthe Board. YES NO 4. Are you in favor ofthe adoption ofAmendment #2 as proposed by the PlanningBoardfortheZoningOrdinance: Allowpropertyownerstheoptiontomergeadjacentconforminglotsunder certain conditions. Property owners are currently already allowed the optiontomergeadjacentnonconforminglotsundercertainconditions. YES NO 5. Are you in favor ofthe adoption ofAmendment #3 as proposed by the PlanningBoardfortheZoningOrdinance: To create a new category under the Permitted Use Table that will regulate the use ofManufactured HousingUnits(mobile homes) forNon Dwelling uses. They would be allowed, only by Special Exception in the "Commercial," "Industrial," "Rural," "Residential Multi-family" and "Village"Zones. To rename the existingtitle for Manufactured Housingto Manufactured Housing-Dwelling.
