Welcome to our 10th annual bull sale!
This year marks my 24th year in the registered Red Angus business. It’s hard to believe it was that long ago when I started in this venture! I can still
remember that day just like yesterday when my dad took me to a Red Angus dispersal sale in October or November of 1994. I was bidding on a lot of
cows but each one would go past my limit and I wouldn’t get her bought. Finally, after quit a few tries, I got two cows bought that day. Then, I saw an
ad that Ed Artz was selling some cows, so I went and bought a few from him and also bought a few from Biebers. I bought a total of nine cows that year
and that is where I got my start. It has taken a long time to get to where I am now and I have a long way to go to get to where I want to be. But refl ecting
on the past and how diffi cult it has been to get through these 24 years has really helped me to appreciate all those who have helped me along the way! I
would like to sincerely thank all of our customers, friends, family (Mom and Dad) and neighbors for their support and trust in our program. It is always
humbling each year when I realizes that without you (the customers, friends, and family) we would be nothing, so we deeply appreciate your support, and
look forward to seeing you again this year and serving your needs the best that we can.
We had a good year despite the very dry conditions in 2017. Hay was a little short but we were able to scrap together enough to get us through. The
silage didn’t yield very good this year (one of our poorest years so far), but we will make it through just like all of you will. Our calves were the heaviest
they have been AGAIN this year. Coming off the cow on Nov. 1, our steers averaged 685 lbs, with no creep feed and no implants. I was very happy! That
is the fourth year in a row that our steer calves have out done themselves from the year before. A true testament to the genetics we are raising and using!
We weaned the bulls around the middle part of October and they have done really well this winter. No creep feed was fed to the bulls either. They are fed
a high-roughage diet to gain around that 2.5 lbs per day. This helps to ensure good feet and longevity of the bulls for you, the customer. This is one the
most structurally correct set of bulls with the best feet on them I think we have raised. I think that you will be very pleased with them on sale day. We
have added a few new sires to the lineup again, as well as our proven home-raised sires that we have been using. They are a very even set of bulls and we
are excited for you to take a look at them on April 18th at the sale.
We continue to strive to raise very functional cattle that meet the needs of today’s advancing beef demands, by selecting for traits such as fl eshing ability,
effi ciency, performance, eye appeal, carcass merit, fertility, udder and feet structure, longevity and disposition. We continue to test our own genetics in
our commercial herd as well to make sure that they will meet your needs. We also try to provide the best customer service that we possibly can and we

This herd bull is one that we feel represents his sire Red Towaw Indeed as good as any son out there. He
is extremely deep bodied and really thick and deep hindquarters, he is thick and wide all the way across
VRRA INDEED Z18 his back and he has a good straight top line, with a nice head. He has excellent feet and is very correct.
He is the result of a fl ush out of one of my favorite cow, P60 Eucla. On the fi rst fl ush with only one straw of semen in her she had 27 eggs and 21 #1s and 3 #2s. We sold one bull brother to Crump Red Angus and we
put four full brothers in our commercial herd and we put Z18 in the registered herd. He may not have the big, high EPD numbers but neither did Indeed himself and look what he did for the breed and how sought after
he is. This herd bull (Z18) is very balanced, no super highs, no super lows, and he is phenotypically fl awless. His sons are absolute studs! Come check them out.

This was our top selling bull in 2015 for $15,000. We kept 1/2 interest in him and used him quite a
bit. We really like the way he stamps his calves. They are pretty stout made and really grow well. His
VRRA STONE INDEED B03 daughters have been really good mothers and have had nice udders. He got hurt last year before we got to
use him so this is unfortunately his last calf crop.

This is a bull we bought from Biebers on their fall sale 2 years ago for $21,000. They had used him that
summer and then offered him for sale. He sires very long bodied calves that are very deep ribbed and
BIEBER ROLLIN DEEP Y118, sire have some growth to them, most of them are a dark cherry red in color as well. We look forward to seeing
what his daughters are like.

Cash 2R offspring continue to demand attention across the world. They are early maturing with high
performance and great hair. Known for extreme early growth (WW EPD 82, top 4%), extreme low
RED CORNER CREEK CASH 2R maintenance (ME EPD -12, top 5%) and Rib Eye Area (0.73, top 3%). Cash has sired many champions in
the U.S. and Canada including a Grand Champion female in Denver, and a $32,000 daughter at the Red

We really like this sire and have used him as much as we can. There is very limited semen if any at all
left. We search high and low until we found some and have just about used it all up. I think we have 4
RED CROWFOOT MOONSHINE 8081U straws left is all. His sons have excellent length of body, and lots of depth of rib, with really nice heads.
They grow very good and are always at the top of the pen. We have only gotten a couple of daughters, but
we absolutely love them.

This is a bull we bought from Lone tree red angus for to use as a cleanup bull on heifers. He has a beauti-
ful dark cherry red color to him and is very long bodied. He has a great foot and very straight top line on
LONE TREE NIGHT CALVER C015 him, with a very good personality. And he has proven to be a true calving ease sire! We will continue to
use this bull in the future as we like how he has turned out.

This is a bull that my dad raised and has proved to be a great herd sire. I picked him because of his gor-
geous dam, who has a perfect udder and great feet and sound structure and is very deep and broody. His
VRRA EPICUREAN A205 calves are really stout, with big guts, and big hind ends, and lots of hair. They are also very easy keepers.

This was our top seller in 2016 and we kept 1/2 interest in him. We used him as a cleanup bull the fi rst
year and liked the calves out of him really well so we bred more to him the next year and we have found
VRRA SIPPEN WISKEY C33 him to be a great sire and will continue to use him heavily in the future as his calves have a low birth
weight and come easy and then really grow and have a great look to them. We look forward to see what
his daughters are like. They should be great.

really exciting and new genetics to offer out of our new herd sire that we
bought from U2 Red Angus. We also have several new proven AI sires
that we used last year and the calves look great.

I bought these heifers as bred last fall from two reputable ranches. These
are two really top-notch sets of heifers. They were all home raised and not
something they put together. This is something we started to do to try to sup-

They started calving the 20th of February and have been excellent mothers!
They have had all their shots, been poured and dewormed. The calves will

These heifers are right out of our replacement pen. We selected these heifers for being out of some
of our best cows, and tried to give a selection from all our herd bulls so you can add different blood-
lines and genetics to your herd. All of their mothers have excellent feet, and udders. They have had
all their shots, been poured and dewormed, and have had their breed-back shots already as well.
They are cycling really well already and are ready for a bull or to be AI’d.
