In c t i section two, the authors focus on the impact of the Covid-19 crisis on sporting v e participants within an international context, including effects on both elite s athletes and leisure sport participants. The final section includes the impacts o n on and reactions of individual sports. S p o r t a n Jörg Krieger is an Assistant Professor in Sport and Social Science at Aarhus d University, Denmark. He is a sport historian and the chair of Common Ground’s t h Sport & Society Research Network. His research interests include the history of e World Athletics, the Olympic Movement, and doping. C o v April Henning is a Lecturer of Sport Studies at the University of Stirling, United id Kingdom. She is a sociologist with expertise in sport and substance use. Her -1 9 research interests include substance use in sport and fitness settings and anti- L doping policy. o c k Lindsay Parks Pieper is an Associate Professor of Sport Management at the d o University of Lynchburg, United States. She is a sport historian whose research w interests include women’s sport history, gender and sport, and Olympic history. n Paul Dimeo is an Associate Professor of Sport Policy at the University of Stirling, United Kingdom.
