UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION
All requirements for admission or readmission to the University must be completed before registration is authorized.
Any former studentwhowas not enrolled in Spring 1999 mustapply for readmission. Students who hold an undergraduate
degree and desire to take courses at the graduate level must apply foradmission to the Graduate School.
APPLICATION DEADLINE
The application deadline for ALL new students is May 1. Applicants who apply after May 1 may not be eligible for
admission to a degree-seeking category. Students admitted as undergraduate (including post-baccalaureate) may take
courses numbered 0000-4999.
RESIDENCY CLASSIFICATION
For information concerning Tennessee Board of Regents guidelines and regulations for residency classification for fee-
paying purposes; undergraduate students should contactApplicant Services, 229 Administration Building, [phone].
NEWSTUDENTS
1. New undergraduate degree-seeking students must submit the required application form and a $10.00 application fee
tothe Office ofAdmissions, 229Administration Building. Telephone [phone] for information regarding admission.
2. Applicants should submit all documents required to complete their admission file. Notification of acceptance and
information aboutorientation, advising, and registration opportunitieswill be sentto each accepted student.
3. Ifadditional placementtesting (AAPP) is required, students should contactthe Office ofTransitional Academic Studies at

READMISSION
1. Former undergraduate students who were not enrolled atThe University of Memphis in Spring 1999 mustsubmit a

attended anotherinstitution since lastenrolled atThe University of Memphis mustsubmitan official transcriptfrom each
institution priorto readmission. NOTE: It may be possiblefor undergraduate students to complete readmission by
