[Soorah al-Ahzaab 33:40] ﷽ The Ten Manners الله هظفح ‘ جرشع بادلأا ّظعأ ُٕ ْأ – قلاخلأا ٕسحلأ ناًإ و هًٌا ٍٓاده – ٌّعا َّ © Iman’s Homeschool The Islamic Greeting هًٌا حِحرو ّوٌٌع َلاسًا ( : ًلائاك , هٌٌع ٌِّّسف ًاٌِسُ رَ ٌلً اذإ : لولأا َّ ) هداهرةو هًٌا حِحرو َلاسًا ّوٌٌعو ( : ٍلف ىٌٌع ٌَّّس ْإ و , ) هداهرةو “ ” “ ” The Islamic Greeting The Response هتاكربو للها ةمحرو نكيلع ملاسلا ه تاكربو للها ةمحرو ملاسلا نكيلعو The Greeting َّ َ ُّ ُ ْ َ َ ْ َ َ ْ َ ُّ َ َ َّ َ ُ ِّ ُ َ َ نؤ اهودر وأ اهنمِ نسحأب إويحف ةٍ يحِ تب متييح إذإو ِ ِ ِ ِ ً َ ْ َ ِّ ُ ٰ َ َ َ َ َ ه ابيسِ ح ءٍ ش لك لَع ناك للَّإ ي When you are greeted with a greeting, greet in return with what is better than it or (at least) return it equally. Certainly, Allaah is Ever a Careful Account Taker of all things Qur‟an 4:86 The Manners of Visiting ٍ وأ با تًا ًٌِٕ ٕع ًافكاو , ْذأذساف دحأ ىٌع يىخدًا خدرأ اذإ : ٍٓاثَّ ًا ِ عجراف عجرا ىً ٌٍك ْإ و رَ ٌخد ىً ْذأ ْإف , ٖراسً The Manners of Visiting ْ ُ ُ ُ َ ْ َ ً ُ ُ ُ ُ ْ َ َ ُ َ َ ه َ ُّ َ َ مكتويب يْ غ اتويب إولخدت لَ إونمآ نيذِ لإ اهيأ اي ِ ٌ ْ َ ْ ُ َ َ ْ َ َ َ ُ ِّ َ ُ َ ُ ْ َ ْ َ ََّ َ ٰ ٰ يْ خ مكلِذٰ اهلِ هأ لَع إوملستو إوسنِ أتست تّح َ ه َ َ ُ ه َ ُ ه ُ ْ َ ْ نو ذت مكل ل مكل O you who believe! Enter not houses other than your own, until you have asked permission and greeted those in them; that is better for you, in order that you may remember. (Qur‟an 24:27) َ َ ْ ُ َ َ َ ْ ُ ََّ َ َ ُ ُ ْ َ َ َ ً َ َ َ ُ َ ْ ه َ ٰ ليقِ نإِو مكل نذ ي تّح اهولخدت ف إدحأ اهيفِ إود ِ ت مل ن ِف ٌ َ َ ُ َ ْ َ َ ُ ه َ ْ ُ َ َ ْ َ َ ُ ُ ْ َ ُ ْ ُ ُ َ ٰ ميلِ ع نولم ت امبِ للَّإو مكل أ وه إو جِ راف إو جِ رإ مكل And if you find no one therein, still, enter not until permission has been given. And if you are asked to go back, go back, for it is purer for you. And Allah is All-Knower of what you do. (Qur‟an 24:28) َ ه َ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ ُ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ ُ ُ ْ ُ ُ ُ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ َ َ نمِ نيذِ لإ نذأتسإ امك إونذِ أتسيلف ملحلإ مكنمِ لافطلْإ غلب إذإو ِ ٌ َ ٌ َ ُ ه َ َ ْ ُ َ ُ ه ُ ِّ َ ُ َ َ َ ْ ْ َ مي ِ ح ميلِ ع للَّإو هِ تِ ايآ مكل للَّإ ْ ي لِذٰ مهِ لِ بق And when the children among you come to puberty, then let them ask for permission, as those senior to them (in age). Thus Allah makes clear His Ayat for you. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (Qur‟an 24:59) The Manners of Visiting ’ ﷺ َ َ َ ْ َ َ َ َ َ ْ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ ََّ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ ُ ْ َ ْ َ ْ ُ ْ ُّ َ َ ل خد د ف ل ف ن ِف نذِ أتسي تّح ٍ يب ِ وج ؤِ ظني نأ مٍ لِسم ئٍ ِ م ِ لحِ ي "It is not lawful for a Muslim man to look inside a house until he has been given permission. If he does so, (it is as if) he has entered .” (Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1093) ﷺ ْ ْ َ ْ َ ُ َ ْ َ ْ ُ ْ َ َ ً َ َ ْ ُ ُ َ َ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ جِ يْلف هل نذ ي ملف ا مكدحأ نذأتسإ إذؤِ “When any one of you seeks permission three times and he is not granted permission, he should come back.” (Sahih Muslim 2153) The Manners of Visiting ‘ ﷺ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ ْ َ َ َ ََ َ َ ه ُ ُ َ َ َ َ َ ْ ُ ْ ه ْ َ ْ َ ل ب تسي مل موق باب تأ إذؤ ﷺ للَِّ إ لوسر ناك لاق سْب نب للَِّ إ دِ بع نع ِ ِ ٍ ِ ئٍ ِ ُ ُ َ َ َ ْ َ َ َ ْ َ ْ ُ ْ ْ َ َ ْ َ َ ْ ْ َ َ ْ لو و سِْ يلْإ وِ أ نِ ميلْإ هِ نِ ر نمِ ن ِ لو هِ هِ جو ءِ ا لتِ نمِ بابلإ ْ ُ ْ َ َ ُ َ َّ ُ ُ ْ َ َ ُ َ َّ مكيلع م سلإ مكيلع م سلإ When the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ came to some people's door, he did not face it squarely, but faced the right or left corner, and said: Asalaamu alaykum! Asalaamu alaykum! (Peace be upon you! Peace be upon you!) (Sahih Muslim 2153) The Manners of Eating ٍْ ُه و , ) هًٌَّا ّسة ( :لائاك ىةِ رشو ىٌِهأ ءادذةا ٍف هًٌَّا ِّّ س : ثًاثَّ ًا ) هًٌَّ دِحًا ( :ٍكو ىعَ ةِ اصأ معٌف رغرف اذإ و , ىًٌٌ اَِّ ُ ٍْ ُه و , ىٌٌِٔة “ ” “ ” The Manners of Eating للها نسب After Eating & Drinking Before Eating & Drinking لله دمحلا ه ُ ُ ْ َ ْ ُ َ ْ َ َ َ َ ِّ َ ُ ُ ُ َ َ ه َ ُّ َ َ نؤِ للَِّ ِ إو شإو مكانق ر ام تِ ابيط نمِ إولك إونمآ نيذِ لإ اهيأ اي َ ُ ُ ْ َ ُ َّ ْ ُ ُ نودب ت اايؤ متن ِ O you who believe! Eat of the lawful things that we have provided you with, and be grateful to Allaah, if it is indeed He Whom you worship. Qur‟an 2:172
