The Ball was fully booked with 119 diners. Chairman of the CPAS Board, Professor Kevin Lim, gave a presentation on the work by the CPAS. Children with special needs between 4 and 7 years old started the activities rolling with a heart-warming rock and roll dance to the song of the theme for the night. Rais sang ‘Stand by Me’ with accompaniment on the guitar by Firhad. Elliot and Eunice Wong gave a dance performance of the West Coast Swing. Their dance was sponsored by Dr and Mrs Wong Ted Min. Dancers from Louis and Catherine Dance Studio did an energetic performance of Rock and Roll and Jive. Everyone had a great time with the food, dancing, listening to the music by resident band Vox Populi and DJ Kason, and watching the entertainment. It was certainly a night to be remembered. Dance Sub-Committee Member, Dr Charlotte Yung, and Mr Todd Keeler were the able MCs for the evening. This is the third year that the Dance Section has organised the Charity Ball and it has become an annual event. Last year, a sum of $16,000 was raised for the CPAS.
