The program included three keynotes by Milan Stankovic (Sépage, Paris, France), Ioana Manolescu (Inria, Paris-Saclay, Paris, France), and Sebastian Rudolph (University of Dresden, Germany). The main scientific program of the conference comprised 48 papers: 31 research, nine resource papers, eight in-use papers, selected outof179reviewedsubmissions,whichcorrespondstoanacceptancerateof23.5%for the research papers submitted, 41% for the resource papers, and 32% for the in-use papers. The proceedings were published by Springer as LNCS volume 10843. This volume includes the accepted contributions to the demonstration and poster trackaswellasthecontributionstothePhDSymposium.Duringtheposteranddemo session, the researchers had the chance to present their latest results in the form of face-to-face presentations. In all, 41 contributions, were selected out of a total of 53 submissions and 28 of the accepted ones included live demos. In addition, the PhD Symposium program included nine contributions, selected out of 17 submissions. Nine workshops and three tutorials were held as satellite events of the conference. The three tutorials were: – Executing Knowledge Graph Initiatives in Organizations – A Field Guide – Music Knowledge Graph and Deep-Learning Based Recommender Systems – How to Build a Question-Answering System Overnight The nine workshops were: – Second Workshop on Semantic Web Solutions for Large-Scale Biomedical Data Analytics (SeWeBMeDA) – 4th International Workshop at ESWC on Sentic Computing, Sentiment Analysis, Opinion Mining, and Emotion Detection – 4th International Workshop on Social Media World Sensors – Managing the Evolution and Preservation of the Data Web – MEPDaW 2018 – Workshop on Deep Learning for Knowledge Graphs and Semantic Technologies – Second Workshop on Querying the Web of Data – QuWeDa 2018 – Third International Workshop on Semantic Web for Cultural Heritage – SW4CH 2018 – Third Geospatial Linked Data Workshop – Semantic Web of Things for Industry 4.0 – SWeTI Whileeachoftheworkshopshadahigh-qualityprogramofitsown,theorganizers were asked to nominate the best papers to be included in this volume. Finally, 11 papers were selected to be included in this book. The authors improved and extended these papers based on the reviewers’ feedback as well as the discussions at the workshop.
