Orphaned at a young age in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Lamia Relictus never feels more than nonexistent. Dropped into a world of untold monsters and a species called the Nephilim, Lamia is forced to reevaluate who she is as much as how insignificant she thought she was. With a cynical partner named Micah, Lamia embarks on a journey to figure out what The Rising is, as well as who she is. What she finds is beyond anything she could have imagined; darker, deeper, and deadlier. Will what she discovers change who she is in her heart?
