The Psalmody of Advent (“Keyahk”) According to the Tradition of The Coptic Orthodox Church “And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.” (Luke 1:28) William A. Hanna, Ph.D. Preliminary English Translation: (From the Arabic Original Published in Cairo, Egypt, 1999) This is a private effort, for free unlimited distribution. The Coptic Orthodox Church is not responsible for this effort. This was undertaken by the author as a free will voluntary contribution to the huge effort of translating the many writings in the library of the Coptic Orthodox church into the English language for the benefit of the Copts in Diaspora. May the Lord use this and the many other works to the Glory of His Wonderful Name. Glory be to Our God in His Church. Amen. ©2002 English Translation; Dr. William A. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I. And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.
