H. liupanensis sp. nov. isdescribed and comparedwith theH. huashanensis. The new species ischaracterized by the shortmaxillary gland and extremely long sensilluma on foretarsus. The listof15 speciesofProtura from LiupanMountain area isalsoprovided. Keywords(cid:2) Protura, new species, LiupanMountain, China. 1(cid:2) Introduction Mountain. Only one species Nosekiella sinensis Bu et Yin, 2008 was reported in this area ( Bu and Yin, (cid:2) (cid:2) LiupanMountain is located inNorthwestChina, 2008). During the Summer of the year 2006, 2008 between the border ofNingxia, Shaanxi and Gansu and 2009, we made three expeditions in this area in Provinces, which is a north(cid:1)south directionalmountain which 13 locations from one neighbor town and 12 with altitude2000(cid:1)2900m.
