As a backgroundtothemainstudyofthoughtanalysisofthegrowths anddevelopmentofpoliticalideasandtheoriesinIslamichistory has been given in the introductory chapters.The work is very carefullydocumented from original Arabicsourcesand hardly a proposition has been made in it without a reliable authority beingcited asits basis. It may however be pointed out that the present study has been undertaken in a most critical and scientific spirit to clear up age long misconceptions and misrepresentations of Islamic political ideas, hence the author expects that readers willgothroughthefollowingpageswithscholarlypatienceand open-mindedness,forhisonlyaimistoarousehonestandsincere thinking in those who are interested in the main problems of Islamic polityand society.
