NicholasRescherisDistinguishedUniversityProfessorofPhilosophyatthe University of Pittsburgh, where he has served for over fifty years. He has publishedmorethanahundredbooksrangingovervirtuallyeverybranch of philosophy. Wayne D. Riggs is an associate professor of philosophy at the University of Oklahoma.
