Description:The Pain of Helping: Psychological Injury of Helping Professionals (Series in Psychosocial Stress)THIS BOOK IS ONE OF THE MOST INTERESTING THAT I HAVE READ IN RELATION TO THE AFFECTS ON THE HELPER.
The history of trauma was interesting, and the different concepts i.e burnout secondary trauma etc was broken down into a easily readable form, the definitions contained in the back of the book were well defined and again very clear to understand i would recommend this book to anyone who would like to understand more about the affects of "helping" or to anyone who like me might be embarking on research that involves the phenomenons that the book covers.
