Good Luck Class of 2002 On September 5,1998, as we walked through the doors of FHS for the first time ever, we carried with us one thought: "Make new friends, but keep the old—one is silver and the other is gold." Now, as the Class of 2002 completes its last year at FHS, we think back on all the friends we have made. We remember all the people with whom we have been friends for years. Together as a class, we remember all the memories of each year at FHS: our first banquet that made us feel like we were cooler than the typical freshmen; sophomore year receiving our class rings that would be worn for many years to come. We realize that these rings will serve as a reminder of where we spent some of the best years of our lives. In our junior year, we took those dreaded SAT's and had the night of our life on May 11, 2001 at the prom where we partied the night away. Senior year, the last big step in our journey, we applied and got accepted to colleges, had a farewell cruise, and waited in anticipa¬ tion for the All Night Party. We remem¬ ber being there on that first Friday in June for the past three years, looking on as Pomp and Circumstance played in the background. We watched as those seniors walked slowly down the aisle, with tassels on their heads and smiles on their faces, as their parents' looked on with tears in their eyes. Now, as we take our last step out of high school and our first step into the real world, it will be us with tassels on our heads, smiles on our laces, and tears in our parent's eyes. For the past four years we have anticipated this much-awaited date: June 7, 2002. And now, as we take that final step through the field house doors, we will take with us all these memories of old friends and new friends. We will take our experiences with us as we start our new lives, making new friends but never forgetting the old. —Tammy Adams 9 SI H O S K E Y k c a b e r ’ e W Jon Perri and Jake Sidebottom trying to figure out exactly where they are on earth.
