One volume in the se- ries,entitledTheLookofLyric:GreekSongandtheVisual,eds.VanessaCazzato andAndréLardinois,hasalreadybeenpublished,whiletwomoreareinprepa- ration:onauthorshipandauthorityinGreeklyricpoetryandonthereception andtransmissionofGreeklyricpoetryfrom600bcto400ad.TheNetworkwas founded in 2007 as a means of facilitating interaction among scholars inter- estedinthestudyofarchaicandclassicallyric,elegiacandiambicpoetry.Most ofthepapersincludedinthisvolumewereoriginallypresentedattheconfer- enceentitled‘SapphointheThirdMillennium’,organisedbyAntonBierlatthe University of Basel in the Summer of 2014, or at the panel on the New Frag- mentsofSappho,organisedbyAndréLardinoisattheannualmeetingofthe SocietyforClassicalStudiesinNewOrleansinJanuary2015.Thepublicationof thevolumewasthenplannedjointlybyAntonBierlandAndréLardinoisand thepapersunderwentaprocessofpeerreviewingatthehandsoftheeditorsas wellasananonymousreviewerforthePress.Thecontributorswerealsoable toreadeachother’spapersandcommentonthembeforethemanuscriptwent topress.Wewouldliketoexpressourgratitudetotheanonymousreaderfor hisfine,crystal-clearcommentsandhisthoroughrevisionofthemanuscript.
