It is with grief and pride, that we the Class of 2002, dedicate our yearbook to the friends and families ofthe September 1 1th tragedies. All classes on that day came to a standstill as students heard the news. The images that we saw on the television screen will never be erased from our memories. All ofour lives and our views of the world have been changed for- MHS ever. As our days here at come to an end, we will carry with us these memories and the experience ofthat day. All the pain and sorrow cannot compare to those who have been directly affected. We ex- tend our condolences not only to our commu- We nity and to our country, but to the world. all have been, in some way, touched by these events. We will forever remember all the vic- tims whose lives were cut short. We honor and remember former MHS stu- dent Ray Rocha. We extend our sympathy and prayers to all of his family and friends. Ray MHS was a part of the community and will stay in our hearts. His football jersey #17 was retired and honored during the 2001 season. . .—there is still the shock a—nd disbelief, there is anger, there is fear, but there is also throughout the world a profound sense of solidarity.
