The Light of the Body Online Course Part One The Dynamics of the Light Body “The aura is the expression of the real man . . . It is the sum total of his forces and emotions—physical, etheric, astral, mental and spiritual. Concisely speaking, it is the subtle super-physical emanation surrounding a person in the form of a luminous mist or cloud. The aura emanation is the essence of a man’s life—it reveals his character, emotional nature, mental caliber, state of health and spiritual development." S. G. J. Ritberger Media Group * 2040 Riesling Way * Cameron Park, CA 95682 * www.ritberger.com THE LIGHT OF THE BODY This course explores your spiritual nature and the highly developed communication network between the soul, the chakras, the mind, and the physical body. This network, energetic in nature, makes it possible for your soul to reveal its intentions through the vibrational frequencies found throughout your 7 chakras, through the quality of your thoughts, and through the functioning of your physical body. When all of these aspects of self are in alignment with the intentions of your soul, you’ll find yourself feeling self-confident, creating empowering thoughts, and experiencing good health and an overall sense of well-being. Conversely, if any one of these aspects of self isn’t in alignment with the intentions of your soul, the result is the creation of limiting thoughts, self-sabotaging behavior, feelings of emotional compromise, and the presence of illness due to a malfunctioning in the organs, glands, and major systems of the physical body. THE OBJECTIVES OF THE ENTIRE COURSE The objectives of this course are to: Increase your awareness of the part of yourself that represents who you are in your purest form—the light body. Offer insight into the complexities and relationship between the chakras and your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Reveal the significant role your light body plays in providing the guidance and direction needed to accomplish your divine work and to live the quality of life you desire. Identify your personality color and the mental preferences associated with how you gather information and make decisions—the neurological traits behind your personality color. Learn Personality Body Mapping™ Learn Chakra Mapping™ Explore the profound impact the light body has on the creation or deterioration of health. HOW TO USE THE WORKBOOK This workbook is intended to serve as reference material for future inquiries you may have regarding the light body, your personality color, the chakras, and the role they all play in the health and well-being of the physical body. For more information on Carol's programs, visit www.ritberger.com I hope you find the information presented in this workbook of value and that what you learn will help you better understand your non-visible spiritual nature, because it's this aspect of your being that connects you with the Divine Source, the Universe, and all that exists. As one whose "Mastery Of,"2 (sacred agreement with other people) is to help them remember their energetic nature and to show them how to lift the veil of forgetfulness, I leave you with this closing thought: You exist on two dimensions—the dimension of matter (the physical self) and the dimension of energy (the spiritual self). The dimension of matter, by its nature, is structured and enmeshed with limitations and boundaries created by the mind and conditioned by other people’s thoughts and perceptions. As a result, this mind of matter seeks to find its answers externally rather than internally, thus perpetuating perceptions that are familiar and safe—perceptions responsible for the creation of self-doubt, fear, comfort zones, and beliefs around lack and scarcity. Those perceptions encourage one to remain engaged in group consciousness, which sees itself as separate from others, from nature, and from the Universe. Those perceptions also significantly contribute to the formation of illness and disease. The dimension of energy, on the other hand, exists in balance with nature and all that exists. It's without limitations and boundaries, and rather than relying on guidance and direction externally, it seeks to find its direction and guidance internally—in the wisdom and intelligence found in the essence of the soul and in the universal mind. As a result, the mind of matter is liberated from the constraints of its conditioning and creates thought-forms in alignment with universal consciousness. This is the consciousness where all exists in a symbiotic, unified field of enlightenment, where all are one and the same, and where one remembers that the healing they desire is found within their own spiritual nature. The Light of the Body Online Course Part 1 – The Dynamics of the Light Body ©Copyright 2013 Carol Ritberger PhD and the Ritberger Media Group How will you know when you have shifted your perception of self from matter to energy? You'll no longer see yourself as either/or, but will, instead, see yourself as whole. You'll experience, without effort, self-acceptance, self-love, and a sense of worthiness; and abundance will abound. Your awareness of your thoughts will increase, so you'll more quickly differentiate thoughts that empower from those that are disempowering. You'll find yourself no longer doing things or making decisions for other people’s reasons. Instead, you'll do things because they feel right and because you want to. In other words, you'll do things for your reasons. You'll have an inner knowing that you've transformed and transmuted the split between the two selves, thus experiencing a state of enlightenment and an enlightened life. A Carrier of Energetic Information The Components of the Light Body Exercises The Light of the Body Online Course Part 1 – The Dynamics of the Light Body ©Copyright 2013 Carol Ritberger PhD and the Ritberger Media Group A TIMELESS APPROACH TO HEALING By integrating the best of the ancient arts of healing with the latest discoveries in science and medical technology, an exciting opportunity is presenting itself that can change how we view illness. The opportunity is to create a new model of healing—a model that will not only change how illness is diagnosed but also how illness is treated. Yet, if we were to look back in history, we'd find that this new healing model isn’t really new at all, but, instead, is timeless in the sense that it begins the healing process where it should begin—with the healing of the soul. And, rather than seeking to relieve the physical body of its symptoms, discomforts, distresses, and aches and pains, this model of healing seeks to heal the underlying root causes responsible for the presence of illness in the first place. The prime objective of this healing model is to restore balance between the soul, the mind, and the spirit, not just to cure the ailments of the physical body. Throughout every civilization, there are writings describing how the metaphysicians, the alchemists, the hermetists, the shamans, and even the great physicians of Greece approached healing from a psychospiritual perspective, meaning they began at the soul level and worked from the inside out—out to the ailments and malfunctioning of the physical body. Hermes, Paracelsus, and even Hippocrates, who is often referred to as the Father of Western Medicine, wrote of how the healing of the body must begin by eliminating the obstacles preventing the soul from doing its divine work. All saw these obstacles as being unhealthy thoughts, destructive emotions, self- sabotaging beliefs, and unnatural behavior. And, all agreed that when these obstacles were eliminated, the physical body would return to its natural state of balance, and the individual would experience good health. Through their individual approaches to healing, they collectively showed that if true healing is to occur, then the soul, the mind, and the body must work in a cooperative, unified manner; and the soul must be free to express its intentions. Their work showed, indeed, that illness begins in the spiritual nature of a person, meaning it begins as pre-illness in the subtle, non-visible part of us that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body—the part known as the light body. Their approach to healing revealed that the light body and the physical body are, without a doubt, holograms of each other, so what affects one affects the other and vice versa. Their work also questioned the difference between curing and healing and revealed they’re not the same, either in their approach or in their results. CURING VERSUS HEALING Curing and healing are different in the sense that curing focuses on the malfunctions of specific parts of the body and seeks to lessen and eliminate symptoms, discomfort, distress, and the effects The Light of the Body Online Course Part 1 – The Dynamics of the Light Body ©Copyright 2013 Carol Ritberger PhD and the Ritberger Media Group 1 of illness. This approach to healing doesn’t go any deeper than the effects on the physical body, and its prime directive is to restore the physical body back to where it was before it became ill. Curing supports taking a passive role in the healing process and encourages delegating the process to someone else. It sees the body and the mind as being separate and tends to not take into consideration that what happens in the body begins in the mind. This approach to healing doesn’t see the soul as part of the healing equation. Healing, on the other hand, begins with the soul and seeks to identify, transform, and eliminate the obstacles preventing the soul from finding its physical expression. The objective of healing is to treat all aspects of who we are, and to make us better than we were before. It focuses on reestablishing a sense of balance between the soul, the mind, and the body and seeks to improve the quality of our lives. It requires participation in the process, the willingness to do whatever is needed in order to heal, and the courage to let go of what’s preventing the soul from doing its divine work. Healing necessitates learning to manage our thoughts and taking responsibility for our words and actions. It begins with self-evaluation and ends with the creation of a different perception of who we are. THE CONCEPTS OF SOUL AND SPIRIT1 The concepts of soul and spirit are difficult to understand, and even more difficult to differentiate, especially if they’re approached from the Western perspective of health and healing. The reason for this is because their definitions will vary from person to person, and from religious teachings to spiritual teachings, which, in effect, view them as one and the same. However, if we were to look at both from the perspective of the teachings of Esoteric Philosophy and Hermetic Science, we'd begin to understand their differences. The Soul The soul is the core essence of our being. It lives in the vibrational frequencies found in the esoteric body of the auric field, in the memories held within our DNA, and in the nucleus of the trillions of individual cells contained in our physical body. In effect, it exists both inside and outside of the structure of the physical body. The soul represents who we are in non-physical form and serves as the source of our creation. Its intentions direct our earthly activities and, utilizing the Law of Magnetic Attraction, draw to us the experiences necessary for us to learn, to grow, to change, to evolve, and to move forward toward spiritual enlightenment. Its essence The Light of the Body Online Course Part 1 – The Dynamics of the Light Body ©Copyright 2013 Carol Ritberger PhD and the Ritberger Media Group 2 livens the physical body and initiates the movement of cells. It holds within its essence our sacred agreements, meaning the agreements we have with ourselves, with other people, and with the Divine Source. The essence of the soul records the experiences between birth and death and contains an energetic archival history of all thoughts, emotions, events, and memories we've experienced on the physical earth plane, both in our current lifetime and in past lifetimes. It uses the physical body as the human expression of its intentions and as the vehicle for evolution. Its intentions are neither literal nor analytical, but rather metaphoric and symbolic. The soul is interested in the quality of our thoughts, the emotions we feel, the experiences we attract, and the relationships we develop, because these are the elements of life that are of the greatest value in determining the quality of our lives. They’re what serve as the inspiration and encouragement that will help us move forward in the evolutionary process. Discomfort, tension, stress, distress, aches and pains, illness, and disease are the soul’s way of alerting us that something we're thinking, saying, or doing is contradictory to its intentions, and these contradictions are causing a disconnection to occur between the mind, the body, and the soul. Each of these physical expressions represents a degree of resistance, reluctance, or unwillingness to make the choices or the changes needed to move us forward in our quest for self-understanding and spiritual development. However, it’s important to understand that it's never the intention of the soul to cause bodily harm when trying to alert us because that wouldn’t serve it well, as it relies on the physical body as its vehicle of expression. It’s merely trying to bring attention to the fact that something is causing us to feel compromised. The soul knows that in our humanness, we’re susceptible to creating thought patterns, which form beliefs, habits, and mental limitations that inhibit personal growth, prevent the expansion of consciousness, and keep us stuck in self-sabotaging behavior. It understands we’re prone to burying our emotional hurts for the sake of not wanting to create conflict, and for not sharing how we feel because we’re afraid that we won’t be accepted, liked, or loved. It understands that the root of our insecurities and fears lies in our relationships with others. The soul knows that sometimes it takes more than a gentle nudge, or an intuitive flash of insight, to get our attention. Sometimes we have to experience something more physical such as illness, so we can understand the impact our thoughts and emotional reactions are having on us, and so we can recognize just how much we've invested spiritually, mentally, and emotionally in what isn’t serving the soul or the physical body well. When the vitality of the soul separates from the physical body in the death process, all we’re left with is a physical shell that begins to deteriorate and decompose immediately. Three days prior to death, the soul begins the process of returning to its non-physical form by purging itself of unnecessary information. It then remains a vibrational essence and waits for its next physical incarnation. The Light of the Body Online Course Part 1 – The Dynamics of the Light Body ©Copyright 2013 Carol Ritberger PhD and the Ritberger Media Group 3 The Spirit – The Light Body The spirit represents our psychospiritual nature and it energetically occupies the same space as the physical body, while also extending beyond it. Its presence creates the electromagnetic framework of the light body. The spirit represents who we are in our purest form and is a composite of our totality, meaning our soul, our higher self, the chakras, the mind, and all of the organs, glands, and major systems of the physical body. It forms our energetic communication network, thus making it possible for the soul and the body to dialogue with each other. Using the vibrational frequencies of the 7 chakras to reveal its presence and to serve as the communication liaison between the soul and the physical body, the human energy system via the light body is the energetic facilitator of the soul’s intentions. Its job is to act as a transmitter and receiver of energy-carrying information both internally and externally. It vibrationally decodes the information in a way that allows the soul, the mind, and the body to utilize it. Once the information is received and vibrationally decoded, the spirit distributes it to the brain for processing, and to the chakras for distribution to the cells throughout the physical body. The energy of the spirit is more intimately connected to the language of the right hemisphere of the brain, because its energetic messages are more metaphoric and symbolic in nature, which is how the soul chooses to express itself. The information provided through the spirit is biological and biographical, and represents the genetic heredity of the family of origin, as well as repetitive patterns of thinking and behavior that may or may not be consistent with the soul’s intentions. When the soul is ready to leave the physical body upon death, it’s the spirit that provides the energetic vehicle for the soul to transition from the lower vibrational frequencies associated with the physical body to the higher vibrational frequencies associated with the Divine Source and the Universe. Once the transition to higher frequencies has been completed, and upon our last breath back into light, the spirit leaves the physical body. The soul is the initiator of all experiences, and it's through experiences that it makes its intentions known. The light body is the interface between the mind and the body. The cells are the keepers of the soul’s intentions. The human energy system is the energetic facilitator of the soul’s intentions. The mind is the interpreter of the soul’s intentions. The physical body is the expression of the soul’s intentions. The Light of the Body Online Course Part 1 – The Dynamics of the Light Body ©Copyright 2013 Carol Ritberger PhD and the Ritberger Media Group 4 WHAT IS THE LIGHT BODY? The light body has for centuries been described as an energetic duplicate of the physical body. It's said to provide a comprehensive holographic image of who we are in our totality of humanness— soul, spirit, mind, and body. The light body is described as a luminous vapor of mist or cloud, made up of waves of light, and rich with color. This field of light and color is comprised of electromagnetic frequencies that surround and interpenetrate the physical body. The ancient Sanskrit writings tell us that it’s impossible to separate the two as they’re truly a reflection of each other, and are one and the same. Edgar Cayce said, “The aura (light body) is the weathervane of the soul. It shows which way the winds of destiny are blowing.” The light body in its entirety is a dynamic composition of the soul, the spirit, the mind, and the body. It represents who we are in our purest form and acts as an energetic medium where all of these elements can emerge, interact, and unite to become one. Each aspect of who we are is able to find expression through the vibrational frequencies of the light body, and creates a symphony of movement. The Symphony of Movement Everything in life vibrates and is in some state of constant movement. The light body is no different. If you could physically see it, you'd find that it pulsates and has its own natural rhythmic patterns, which are similar to those of your heartbeat or the involuntary breathing patterns of your physical body. You'd see that it's made up of many different elements. You might even compare its activities to those of a concert orchestra playing a complicated piece of music, knowing very well that timing is everything, and understanding that cooperation among the musicians is imperative if the piece is to be delivered successfully. You'd observe that every vibrational frequency, like every musician, knows they must wait their turn until they’re instructed to participate, and all understand that when they complement each other and don’t try to overpower the others, the exquisiteness of the music can be enjoyed. A visual portrayal of what the light body looks like would be similar to seeing the heat waves coming off the desert floor or off the asphalt of a hot street. Yet, instead of these waves being transparent, they would look like the morning mist rising off a mountain lake or the cloud-like vapors rising off a warm street following a rain shower.
