Houseat7:00p.m. Theannualfundraiser, Lovettsofferedsignificantsupporttothe

fiveandahalfmillionvolumes.Asacopy-
rightdepositlibrary,theBodleianstill
receivesoneofeachpublicationprintedin
Britain,thankstoanearlyagreementbe-
tweenSirThomasandtheStationers'

In1602booksweresorarethattheEarlof
Bodleystipulatedintheoriginalcharterthat
bookswerenottoberemovedfromthe
