It is indeed ironic that the two men were both imprisoned for publishing the truth in a countrythat prides itselfon having taught the world that 'freedom of speech' is a sacrosanct right belonging to all citizens of a civilised land. Doubtless the ruling and influential individuals, many of alien extraction, who comprise the conspiratorial clique which today determinesthefate ofthe Britishpeople, hopedthattheimprisonment ofMessrs.TyndallandMorsewoulddeterthemandotherlike-minded patriotsfrom utteringviews whichare potentiallysopopularthatthey must be suppressed at all costs. However, if they imagined that such men could be silenced, they were mistaken; for both emerged from prison unbowed and quite unrepentant. Justhowfarthe inquisitorshadmiscalculated the resolveofBritish Nationaliststo goon spreadingthetruth was shownbythecontinued publication ofBritish Nationalist duringtheirimprisonment, and the publication of Spearhead, which was resumed immediately after Mr. Tyndall'srelease. But,aboveall, themagnitudeofthe nationalists'victory overthetotallyunrepresentativeestablishment, whichseeksto control ourthoughts and opinions as well as ouractions, is more than amply testified by the appearance of this absorbing and penetrating book. In one sense it can be said that by imprisoning John Tyndall the enemies of British Nationalism did us all a favour by providing him withtherare opportunityforwritingTheEleventhHour, abookwhich INTRODUCTION vii many nationalists had hoped would be forthcoming for a long time. Mr. Tyndall's enforced leisure afforded him the peace and quiet that are necessary for writing an important book of this kind - luxuries whichhis dutiesas leaderofthe BritishNational Party seldom, ifever, permit. So, to use a colloquialism, it can be said that Mr. Tyndall's enemies "scored an own-goal," and we nationalists and, indeed, all peopleconcernedwith the future ofourcountryare the beneficiaries. Although most Britonswho takean intelligent interestin domestic politicalmatterswilldoubtlesshave heardofJohnTyndall, fewofthem, apart from thosewho are his own colleaguesand supporters, actually knowthe manor fullyunderstand his political beliefs and aspirations. The reasonfor thiswidespread public ignoranceisthattherehas been a co-ordinated conspiracy waged by the political establishment to suppresssuchbeliefs- anestablishmentwhichisfearfulofthe potential popularityofMr.Tyndall'sviews.Thissuppressionisfurtherreinforced by the activities of the hostile news media, which have successfully persuaded the less discerning majority to believe that Mr.Tyndall is some sort of ogre who, given half a chance, would subject his compatriots to a totalitarian dictatorship. BesidesprovidingMr.Tyndallwithameansofansweringhis critics, the publication of The Eleventh Hour will also enable those who are genuinely interested to discover for themselves what he really stands for.Byreadingthis book, theywill notonly discoverthe truththatlies behindmany of the events inwhich Mr.Tyndall has been involvedbut they will also learn about his background and early struggles, his political beliefs and the evolution of the British National Partywhich he now leads. I believe that all who read The Eleventh Hour, even thosewhohold viewsdiametricallyopposedto Mr.Tyndall's, willagree that the book makes fascinating readingand goes a long way towards dispelling some of the myths that have surrounded those of us who subscribe to the cause of British Nationalism. There can be little doubt that had John Tyndall chosen any other walk of life than the one he did he would have made his mark. I am quite convinced that, with his outstandingpowers of oratory, and his abilities as a writer, administrator and leader, he would have risen to thetopofany ofthemajorpoliticalpartiesifhe hadhadamind to join one. But unlikesomanyofthosepoliticianswho todayinfesttheBritish political scene and unfortunately dominate the political destinies of our people and our country, Mr.Tyndall is no careerist or self-seeker. Unlike them, he is not concerned with self-aggrandisement or power for power's sake; if those had been the forces that motivated him he would surely have joined one of the established political parties long ago. And, unlike so many of the politicians oftoday, he is, above all, a man of principles. Vlll THE ELEVENTH HOUR In all the years that [ have known John Tyndall I cannot recall a single occasion when he compromised any of his principles in order to gain any momentaryadvantage,to currypublicfavouror as amatter ofpoliticalexpediency. As ayoungman, he madeaconsciousdecision to take up the cause of British Nationalism and give his whole life to it, and he hasfor morethanaquarterofacenturyremainedfaithful to that cause despite the sometimes almost insuperable obstacles that have been placed in his way. Tomy certain knowledge, he has never deviated one iotafrom the lonely, and at timesdangerous, taskwhich he has set himself. I am convinced that all fair-minded readers, whether they agree withMr.Tyndall'sopinionsornot, willhaveto admitthathis sincerity, integrityand probityareevidentin everypage of this book. Butthose are not his only virtues; he also possesses in large measure courage, persistence and an unrelenting dedication to the future well-being of the British people. Despite the conspiratorial efforts of his enemies and the numerous ploys they have used to thwart his legitimate aspiration to see the control of his native land restored to his fellow countrymen, John Tyndall has, by sheer tenacity, forged a political movement in this country which, in spite of many obstacles and setbacks, is, in myopinion, the most potentweaponwe have to bring about the resurgence of our nation and the salvation of our people. Mr. Tyndall is a realist, and he has always warned his supporters that the struggle in which they are engaged will be long and arduous. He knowsthat thenationalistvictoryforwhich he hassoardentlyand valiantly fought all his political life may not materialise quite so soon as many would hope. However, sooner or later British Nationalism willtriumph; andwhenitdoesJohnTyndall'snamewill endureas that of its principal architect. Indeed, I predict that John Tyndall will be remembered long after the political pygmies who are now so busily engagedinplottingournationaldeclineandracial suicideare forgotten. The Eleventh Hour not only provides us with a blueprint for the salvationofourcountry; it also tells the inspiringstoryofwhatcan be achieved by one remarkable man of vision who has set his face implacablyagainstthenationaldeath-wishwith which so manyofour so-called leaders seem to be afflicted. It is a bookthat should be read byall Britonswho haveagenuinelove of theircountry, and indeed by patriots all over the world who feel about their own countries in the same way. The book may not become a best-seller in the immediate future; but I believe that in the years beyond it will take its place as the most outstandingtestament written bya British Nationalist.
