D F R O M T H E AU T H O R One of the wonders of God’s Word is how much depth can be found in a single Scripture. One verse can speak volumes of information to us. Consider Hebrews 4:16. This verse alone contains promises of grace, mercy, forgiveness, boldness, closeness with God, answered prayer, spiritual power, and more. I’ve probably read it a thousand times, and yet each time I read it I am overwhelmed by the fullness of it. There aren’t enough days in our lifetime for us to experience all there is to know about the Word. The Talmud, the collection of ancient rabbinic writings on Jewish law and tradition (the Mishna and the Gemara) that constitute the basis of religious authority in Orthodox Judaism, tells us that some day God is going to interpret for us even the spaces between the letters. Ironically, this incredible depth is what made writing this book so difficult. When I was asked to separate the Complete Personalized Promise Bible into topics, my first thought was, “You’ve got to be kidding!” I suddenly had a pic- ture in my mind of a thirty-volume set. Hebrews 4:16 alone could be classified into about a dozen topics.I knew that the only way to do this was to simply take each passage and choose a single topic for it instead of duplicating that Scripture into all of the topics that it covers. Well,it worked for the most part, but for some Scriptures, eeny meeny miny mo just didn’t seem to cut it. So here and there I have repeated a few of the promises. However, I only did this where I felt it was necessary, and there are so few that it barely affects the size of the volume. The beauty of this is that God has placed such an abundance of promises in His Word that once I divided them all up, there were plenty for each topic. The other difficulty I enc ou n t ered was cho osing the topi c s . The re are hun - dr eds to cho ose from, but if I used them all it would have been nearly impos s i b le to cho ose what passage would go whe re. What I rea l ly wanted to do was narrow it down to just a few dozen topi c s . As you can proba b ly guess, Go d has placed a lot more than a few dozen categories of promises in His Word. So after hours of cond ensing and sub cla s s i f y in g , I finally end ed up with an even sevent y topi c s . But le t me tell you , th e y are absolutely awes o me! Just rea ding the topics alone can ma k e you weep with joy. You are abou t to be ble s s e d rig ht out of your socks! My personal favorite is the section on how God has promised to be your Friend and closest Companion. Did you know that God thoroughly enjoys your company? Nothing blesses my life more than knowing that God is truly my very best Friend. As a matter of fact,I could probably classify every other topic under that one truth. It is my sincere prayer that your life wil l be cha n g ed as you decla r e each of these promi s e s . If si c kness has taken hold of your body, th r ou g h these pages I stand in agreeme nt for your healing. If the spirit of poverty has you under its crue l hand of oppres s i o n, I stand in agreeme nt that you are set free .P l e a s e , child of Go d, don’t be dup ed into thinking that your hardships are God’ s wil l. He wants you to live a li f e full of jo y, fr eedom, and pea ce. Rea d His promi s e s . Th e y ar e His wil l for you . Second Corinthians 1:20 decr ees that every one of th e m is you r s. Claim them toda y and ent er into the abundant life that Jes us paid for you to enj o y! u VI u YOU ARE HIS SON AND A MEMBER OF DIVINE ROYA LT Y hen you received Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior, you were born Wagain. You became a new creation with a new nature. It was at that moment that God made you His son.You are just as much a son to God as Jesus is. Jesus is the firstborn of many brethren. You are one of those brethren. You need to know that God loves you with all of His heart. As you rea d these words , He is looking upon you with suc h prid e it defies des c r ip tio n. All of th o s e th i n g s you think He is ashamed of ar e none xi s t ent in His eyes . He nailed them al l to the cross of Jes us , and all He can see now is the perfectio n of the son that He loves . He is with you every mome nt . He decla r es your name with prid e and si n g s song s of you in the pres e nc e of the angels . You are the manife s t a ti on of His deepest des i r es . For ages He waited patie nt l y for the day you would become His own. You are now His son, and you wil l be with Him for all of eterni t y. In everything you do, you should be aware o f your rights and privileges as God’s son. Heaven respects your position. You are seated together with Jesus in heavenly places. Yes, your Father has made you a member of His Royal Family. Pray these promises and remember who you are. You are a son of the King! JOSHUA 22:3 NKJV “You have not left your brethren these many days, up to this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the Lord your God.” @ DECLARATION OF FAITH 2 I do not desert my brothers and sisters in the Lord. I am true to my calling and my place in the family. (Hebrews 10:25; Numbers 32:33; 2 Thessalonians 1:11; Romans 11:29) RUTH 1:16 NKJV But Ruth said: “Entreat me not to leave you, u 1 u T H E C O M P L E T E P E R S O N A L I Z E D P R O M I S E B I B L E F O R M E N Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge,I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God.” @ DECLARATION OF FAITH 2 I will not turn back to my old ways of living. I take my place in the family of God. They are my people and my dwelling is in their midst. (2 Kings 2:2-6; Romans 8:12-17,29; 2 Corinthians 6:14) 1 CHRONICLES 28:6 AMP And He said to me, Solomon your son shall build My house and My courts, for I have chosen him to be My son, and I will be his father. @ DECLARATION OF FAITH 2 God is my Father. He chose me to be His own child. I will not forget this great honor. (Romans 8:29; John 6:37-39;2 Thessalonians 2:13; Ephesians 1:4,5) PSALM 2:1-9 KJV Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me,and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inher- itance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. @ DECLARATION OF FAITH 2 My Father laughs when my enemies conspire against me to break loose from the chains by which I have bound them. When they take their stand against me and plan my destruction, the Lord mocks them. u 2 u Y O U A R E H I S S O N A N D A M E M B E R O F D I V I N E R O Y A L T Y Then He rebukes them in His anger and terrifies them in the wake of His wrath. He makes His decree before them that Jesus is Lord and King over my life and that I am not to be harmed. I have been reborn and recreated as the very brother of Jesus. Every member of Satan’s army is subject to my authority. (Numbers 24:9; Mark 3:27; Psalm 18:1-19; 37:13; Acts 17:28; Deuteronomy 2:25; 11:25; John 3:3-8; Luke 10:19; Hebrews 2:11; James 4:7; Revelation 2:26,27) PSALM 68:5,6 NKJV A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into pros- perity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land. @ DECLARATION OF FAITH 2 My God is a Father to the fatherless, a defender of the widow, and a com- panion to the lonely. He leads forth prisoners from their bondage with singing, and as His son, I do the same. (Job 29:11-17; Psalm 10:14;146:9; James 1:27; Acts 12:6-8; 16:22-26) PSALM 82:1,6 NKJV God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods. I said, “You are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High.” @ DECLARATION OF FAITH 2 I am created to be like a god in this earth — a very member of the great assembly. I am indeed a son of the Most High! (Genesis 1:26-28;2 Chronicles 19:6; Psalm 8:4-6; John 10:34; Romans 8:14-17; Ephesians 2:6-10) SONG OF SOLOMON 8:1-3 NKJV Oh, that you were like my brother, Who nursed at my mother’s breasts! If I should find you outside, I would kiss you; I would not be despised. I would lead you and bring you u 3 u T H E C O M P L E T E P E R S O N A L I Z E D P R O M I S E B I B L E F O R M E N Into the house of my mother, She who used to instruct me. I would cause you to drink of spiced wine, Of the juice of my pomegranate. (TO THE DAUGHTERS OF JERUSALEM) His left hand is under my head, And his right hand embraces me. @ DECLARATION OF FAITH 2 The Lord Jesus is my elder brother. He is just as much a brother to me as if we had the same mother. I stand in His presence free of all guilt and inferiority. It is my pleasure to g ive Him all of the best of what I have. (Romans 8:1; 28,29; Hebrews 2:11; Malachi 3:6-12; John 10:28,29; Deuteronomy 33:12) ISAIAH 62:5 AMP For as a young man marries a virgin [O Jerusalem], so shall your sons marry you; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you. @ DECLARATION OF FAITH 2 The Lord rejoices over me as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride. He has committed Himself to me in an e verlasting covenant sealed in His own blood. (Hebrews 8:6; Acts 20:28; John 3:29; Revelation 18:23) JEREMIAH 24:5-7 KJV Thus saith the Lord , the God of Is rael ; L i ke these good figs , so wi ll I ack n owl- ed ge them that are carri ed aw ay captive of Ju d a h , wh om I have sent out of t h i s p l ace into the land of the Ch a l deans for t h ei r good .
